Roof Leak Causes Water Damage in Clinton

This home had suffered from a front entry roof leak during a bad thunderstorm in Clinton, NJ. The leak was likely already present, but when the heavy rains came through water began to collect in the ceiling.

As you can see, the paint had a large bubble which was filled with water. Eventually, it built up too much and water began to leak on to the floor of the entryway.

When our crews arrived on site, they immediately began taking down the drywall and the affected area of the ceiling. Then, fans were set up pointing at the affected areas and a dehumidifier was set up nearby. These steps help ensure that the wall and ceiling is completely dried out before the equipment is removed and the wall is repaired.
